Taking the courageous step to reach out for help is often the first vital move toward escaping a life of violence. A Safe Place’s 24/7 Help Line is available around the clock, offering immediate, compassionate support to those in need.

Our Help Line Offers:

  • Immediate Counseling & Support: Our trained staff and volunteers provide confidential crisis counseling, validate experiences, and guide survivors through their options for safety and support.

  • Dedicated Crisis Line: Survivors can call our 24/7 Help Line at (847) 249-4450 or our toll-free number, 1-800-600-SAFE (7233), to receive immediate assistance.

  • TTY Services for Hearing-Impaired Individuals: We also offer a TTY number at (847) 249-6557 to ensure accessibility for all survivors.

When a survivor reaches out, we focus on ensuring their safety and empowering them with information on available services, such as emergency shelter and the other programs offered by A Safe Place.
