Emergency Shelter

Our emergency shelter offers a safe haven for families, including their beloved pets, providing up to three months of secure accommodation. This service is designed for those who are in danger and fleeing abusive situations, empowering them to create plans for a brighter, violence-free future. For the safety and confidentiality of our clients and staff, the shelter’s location remains undisclosed.

A Safe Place shelter program is tailored to meet essential needs and offer expert guidance for setting future goals. Emphasizing safety, hope and empowerment, our focus is on assisting survivors of domestic abuse during their stay.

At A Safe Place, individuals can explore resources and options, laying the foundation for new and secure lives. Families residing in the shelter receive free supportive services such as referrals, advocacy, safety planning, individual counseling, group support, and case management from a dedicated team of domestic violence advocates. Our trained advocates offer encouragement, empathy and respect while providing the tools and skills to increase self-sufficiency and build resiliency in all.
